Karen was my supervisor when I worked at a higher level of care program in the Boston area. She was absolutely incredible to have as a resource, mentor, and educator while navigating the ever changing local eating disorder landscape. Karen not only helped me hone my skills when treating co-occurring ED and OCD clients, but also provided guidance and space for me to grow as a clinician. Karen always encouraged me to challenge myself in ways I didn't even know I needed to be challenged. Every single time we met I would learn something.

After leaving said treatment center, I continued to seek out Karen's services and joined one of her ED OCD supervisory groups. Karen's supervisory groups attracted highly intelligent, motivated, and insightful clinicians. Karen would share her vast wisdom while also allowing room for us to discuss, share, and learn from one another. I learned a lot from participating in this group and I look forward to continuing to participate in future supervisory group opportunities through Karen in the future.

Karen is an integral part of the ED community in the Boston area and anyone would be lucky to work with her in whatever capacity they desire/need. I cannot recommend her highly enough and I feel lucky to get to continue to be a part of her network.

I reached out to Karen based on a recommendation from another practitioner who highly regarded her work. Now as a client, I too have come to respect and admire her expertise in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, OCD and trauma/PTSD, use of various therapeutic approaches, willingness to think outside the box and commitment to inclusivity. Karen has a collaborative and communicative approach, goes above and beyond to make sure I’m receiving the best possible care and support and is always willing to advocate on my behalf.

From day one, Karen has been an instrumental part of my team and I honestly don’t know what I would do without her! She helps me feel grounded and safe, brings awareness to my destructive thoughts and holds me accountable for my behaviors. Above all, what I value most about Karen is her commitment to my treatment, compassion for my lived experience and the unwavering hope she holds for me to one day surrender enough to overcome my eating disorder and live a long, fulfilled life.

My life has improved significantly since I started seeing Karen.  Karen encouraged me to get sober and assembled a care “dream” team who have given me the tools to manage my OCD and eating disorder behaviors much more effectively.   My daughter has also struggled with mental health challenges, and Karen has been an incredible resource and support.  Karen is knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate, and I am grateful to have her as a therapist.  While I am still on my recovery journey, I have never felt better.

Karen is one of those unique humans who can kind of do it ALL; she is a dynamo who provides excellent therapy, is a fabulous collaborator, can teach, supervise and consult brilliantly, has energy and creativity to spare and has sought extensive training in IFS, ACT, OCD, CPT, trauma and eating disorders. She is extremely well-informed and thinks deeply about what her clients need in order to give them her best. Karen is highly attuned to her clients’ needs and listens carefully with her clinical ears but perhaps more importantly, with her heart and soul. Karen’s exuberance and passion for her work shines through in everything she does and it is a joy to know and work alongside her.
