Join us in Welcoming Emily Hocking to the Nourished Minds Team!

We are excited to announce that Emily Hocking, LCSW, has joined the team at Nourished Minds Counseling + Wellness. Emily specializes in treating adolescents and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, perinatal and women’s health concerns, eating disorders, disordered eating, OCD, and trauma-related symptoms.

With a background in education as a former teacher, Emily has a deep understanding of the challenges impacting student mental health and is skilled in helping adolescents and their families navigate educational systems.

Outside of her work, Emily is a lifelong runner who competed as a Division I athlete in college and continues to train for marathons and road races. This group is perfect for those with some experience in these areas who wish to deepen their understanding through informal instruction and case consultation.

Facilitated by: Karen Chinca, LICSW, CEDS-S

With nearly two decades of experience working with individuals with eating disorders and OCD, Karen is a certified eating disorders specialist-supervisor (CEDS-S) and a graduate of The International OCD Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Training Institute.

International students often face a unique set of challenges as they navigate a new culture, language, and academic environment. These challenges can significantly impact their mental health and well-being, increasing their risk of developing eating disorders or other mental health issues. This is a particularly important population for us, as Boston is one of the top destinations for international students in the world, and our offices in Brookline MA are perfectly situated to serve them.
